金蛇郎君夏雪宜（江华 饰）全家被温家堡恶人所杀，前往温家寻仇的过程中与温家小姐温仪（吴美珩 饰）相爱结合生下女儿青青，却无奈温家几老利用温仪使夏雪宜重伤，温仪亦被推入井中活埋。成年后的青青（欧子欣 饰）蛮横凶恶，巧遇了袁崇焕之子袁承志（林家栋 饰），日久生情，但是袁承志却钟情于救下的弱女子阿九（佘诗曼 饰）。袁承志此时已经是金蛇郎君的徒弟，誓报父仇，金蛇郎君与五毒教妖女何红药（关宝慧 饰）之间恩怨纠缠，牵扯到了若干人等，而阿九的真正身份居然是明朝公主，李自成起义、清兵入关，国仇家恨爱恨情仇，袁承志该如何抉择？
