„The New Batman Adventures“ ist eine Fortsetzung der gefeierten Batman-Animationsserie von 1990. Die Geschichten in dieser Serie konzentrieren sich tendenziell stärker auf Batmans Nebendarsteller, zu denen unter anderem die Verbrechensbekämpfer Robin, Nightwing und Batgirl gehören. Es sind auch "Gaststars" wie Supergirl, Etrigan und The Creeper zu sehen; Charaktere, die später mit Batman in Justice League und Justice League Unlimited auftraten.
