Amada Bata is a classic Odia film directed by Amar Ganguly, based on eminent Odia woman writer of yester years Basant Kumari Pattanayak's master piece Amada Bata (1930), whose primary concern is the character Maya (Played by Jharana Das), before and after her marriage.

The greed for the possession of the family land destroys the affection and brotherhood between siblings, Baraju and Chakadi after their father, Shama Pradhan passes away.
