Dona Lurdes is a mother and housewife who is suffering from empty nest syndrome when her last child leaves home. To escape her loneliness, she goes in search of new ways to fill her days and her life. Due to her thirst for new things, Dona Lurdes will live new experiences, build friendships and new love.

Laurita, a retired woman from Copacabana, is forced to establish contact with a neighbor, Amanda. The meeting between the two awakens a whirlwind of feelings, memories and discoveries that will mark their lives forever.

In the story, set in Rio de Janeiro, a pregnant woman will feel the desire to eat a certain fruit and will ask her husband to go buy it. When he is in the market, he will be the victim of a stray bullet. Meanwhile, at home, the girl will begin to give birth to her baby.
