A small man (hat, tie, case) is waiting on a busy city road for the moment he can cross the street. But when the crossing lights turn green, it does not necessarily mean the cars cooperate. An animation in an angular style, stripped down to its essence, in which the figures are first drawn and later seem cut-out. An agitated tune further speeds up the tempo of this one-minute big-city tale.
In Scratch both the animation and the soundtrack are abstract. The movie is a conversation of sounds and images. Soundtrack and animation are scratched directly on 35 mm film.
Animated film (a combination of drawings on paper and cut-out animation) in four episodes about a little girl who tries to cope with reality and manipulate it to her advantage. The film emphasises the impossibility of knowing others and of knowing what is real.
Inspired by Picasso's Guernica (1937), this film is fundamentally about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
