Filmen "Straight Outta Compton" forteller den sanne historien om hvordan det hele begynte, og hvordan N.W.A. utviklet seg til å bli verdens farligste gruppe. Medlemmene slo tilbake mot autoritetene som undertrykte dem, og ga verden innblikk i hva som egentlig foregikk i miljøet de hadde vokst opp i. Det startet en sosial revolusjon man fortsatt ser ringvirkningene av i dag.
