Die Tiere auf der Manor Farm haben die Schnauze voll davon, dass ihre menschlichen Herren sie ausbeuten. Unter dem alten Keiler Old Major, der den Tieren die Produkte ihrer Arbeit zukommen lassen möchte, planen sie die Revolution. Als Old Major stirbt, übernehmen die beiden Schweine Schneeball und Napoleon die Führung. Gemeinsam gehen die Tiere auf die Barrikaden und vertreiben die Menschen schließlich von der Farm. Doch Napoleon ist seine neue Macht zu Kopf gestiegen. Unter dem Deckmantel der neuen Gleichberechtigung aller Tiere baut Napoleon eine brutale und korrupte Gesellschaft auf. Seine Vorstellung von einem vermeintlich neuen System lautet: Alle Tiere sind gleich, aber einige Tiere sind gleicher als andere...

In Bad Kleinen, einem 3.500-Seelen-Nest in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, stürmt unter der Gesamtleitung des Bundeskriminalamtes am 27. Juni 1993 ein Kommando der Spezialeinheit GSG9 in einer spektakulären Aktion die Tunnelunterführung des Bahnhofs. Der Auftrag: Die Festnahme der beiden mutmaßlichen RAF-Terroristen Wolfgang Grams und Birgit Hogefeld.

It's almost like Shakespeare's Henry IV, Part 1. It's a chunk of national history during Australia's great era of change after the war."
