Die Superheldenfamilie Thunderman wird nach einer missglückten Rettungsmission von der Großstadt zurück in die Vorstadt von Hiddenville geschickt. Während der Großteil der Familie die Rückkehr in die vertraute Umgebung durchaus genießt, wollen die Zwillinge Max (Jack Griffo) und Nora (Addison Riecke) sich schnellstmöglich rehabilitieren und wieder echte Superhelden im Dienste der Allgemeinheit sein. Dass Superschurke Dark Mayhem (Matt Mullins) wieder auftaucht, kommt ihnen da fast schon gelegen, doch dessen Pläne sind diesmal noch teuflischer als je zuvor, sodass die gesamte Familie Thunderman einmal mehr zusammenarbeiten muss, um sie zu durchkreuzen.

Die Juwelendiebstähle waren scheinbar nur ein Probedurchlauf - der ganz große Coup soll erst noch kommen! Herman, Lily und Grandpa machen sich auf die Jagd nach ihren verbrecherischen Doppelgängern.
