Pater Gabriele Amorth könnte doch glatt als fortschrittlicher Exorzist bezeichnet werden, denn der Dämonenaustreiber im Auftrag des Papstes überweist starke 98 Prozent der Fälle in ärztliche oder psychiatrische Betreuung. Doch bei den restlichen zwei Prozent stößt Amorth auf das, was er das „pure Böse“ nennt. Ein neuer Fall von Besessenheit führt den Pater an das Bett eines Jungen. Die in ihm gefangene Entität hatte explizit nach Gabriele Amorth verlangt. Doch hinter dem dämonischen Befall scheint mehr zu stecken, als der Priester zunächst ahnt, denn offenbar hat dieser Dämon schon öfter den Kontakt zur römisch-katholischen Kirche gesucht – obwohl in den Schriften keine Erwähnung dazu gefunden werden kann.
