La vita in un liceo può essere un inferno e lo sa bene Brodie, un giovane metal emarginato da tutti fino a quando non incontra uno spirito affine in Zakk. Dopo aver messo in piedi una loro band, Brodie e Zakk incappano in un misterioso spartito che garantirebbe un potere supremo a chi è in grado di eseguirlo. La musica che ne deriva, però, evoca un'antica e malvagia entità in grado di sconvolgere l'esistenza di chiunque e divorare l'umanità.
