Greg è un uomo da poco divorziato la cui vita cade a pezzi fino all’incontro con l’incantevole Isabel, che vive per strada. Isabel è convinta che il mondo che la circonda, così inquinato e corrotto, non sia reale. La donna crede di vivere in una simulazione brutta e ostile dentro un mondo che invece è bello, pacifico e beato. Greg, inizialmente dubbioso, si ritroverà alla fine a scoprire che forse le folli teorie cospirazioniste di Isabel nascondono un fondo di verità…
Dustin è innamorato della collega Alexis la quale però non è poi così interessata a lui tanto da chiedergli, dopo cinque settimane di appuntamenti, di restare buoni amici. Diventa quindi per lui indispensabile chiedere l'aiuto del compagno di appartamento Tank. Costui ha una sorta di specializzazione: se un uomo viene lasciato da una donna lui fa in modo di conoscerla, uscire con lei e disgustarla a tal punto che lei non vorrà fare altro che ritornare tra le protettive braccia di chi ormai considerava un ex. Tank entra quindi in azione con Alexis utilizzando l'ormai collaudata strategia. Ma le cose non vanno come previsto.
Twelve years ago, the Earth was attacked by giant invaders. To defend our planet, the Earth's greatest minds and corporations assembled to design a giant robot of incredible power. Unfortunately, as with most government projects, the contract went to the lowest bidder. Fortunately, by the time the robot was ready, the mysterious invaders had already disappeared without a trace. The giant robot became first a curiosity, then a tourist attraction. But now the invaders are back and the only thing in their way is Dai-Guard and a young team of office workers who've been supplementing their regular incomes as part time pilots and tour guides. Can these reluctant heroes halt their alien foes while simultaneously concealing the defects in their giant robot?
The series is based on the manga Tokusatsu Gagaga, a comedy manga by Tanba Niwa. Tokusatsu Gagaga series follows Kano Nakamura, an office lady played by Fuka Koshiba, who is secretly a tokusatsu otaku, a toku-ota. She lives her life by the code of tokusatsu heroes and often envisions herself as one as a means to make it through her daily struggles.
