After the "Squawk Club" closes for the night, the mice come out and put on a show of their own. The Mouse of Ceremonies introduces the vastly-talented Miss Hedy La Mouse, and Hedy stops the show. Elmer, a rube-mouse from out of town, wanders in and falls for Hedy but the jealous M.C. attempts to restrain Elmer. The latter, evidently not all that far from out of town, assists Hedy in a couple of dances, including a Conga in which all the mice join in. But the night janitor, a real party-pooper, shows up, and all the mice scurry for cover.
The fox is gaily driving down the highway on his motor-scooter. The Crow, using his "Sucker Detector", spots the Fox as an obvious sucker. He goes to work disguising a free public bridge as a "toll bridge" passing himself off as the toll man. The fox doesn't want to pay the two dollars and attempts to cross to the other side without paying. He tries going across on a raft but the crow attaches it to an anchor. He tries using a "roller-coaster" ramp but the crow detaches it. Lastly, he tries driving underwater using an oxygen tank but the Crow replaces it with a helium tank sending the Fox skyward. Finally, the fox pays the $2.00 at which point the Crow reveals himself, yelling, "Sucker!"... but Foxy gets even.
An obnoxious little toddler boy scares and hits a whimpering puppy in his charge until his mother comes in and puts him to bed and scolds him for his cruelty. Asleep, the boy dreams that the puppy has grown to dinosaur size, bursting through walls, chasing down the brat until retribution looks nigh.

The cat and mouse are in their usual game of chase-and-pursue until the mouse hides in a pickled-herring barrel. The cat gets intoxicated from inhaling the fumes and immediately becomes the mouse's newest best friend. He defends the mouse from a mean alley cat, and the mouse invites him to come home with him. There, the mouse takes care of him and sobers him up, and the cat immediately begins to chase him again. He reaches the barrel again and regains his newest best friend. Charlie Chaplin deserves an (uncredited) story listing.

A self-promoted and bragging mongrel is trying to prove his status to a doubting-parrot and accidentally swallows the cuckoo from a clock. The parrot tries to extricate the cuckoo from the dog, where the cuckoo seems to be content. The cuckoo and parrot are engaged in combat within the dog, which is not a pretty picture, and following the brawl, the cuckoo is now seen emerging at intervals from the parrot's mouth, which is also not a pretty picture.
