Puerto Rican major league baseball player Roberto Clemente, who is shy one hit of 3000, stands before New York Mets player Jon Matlack. During his turn to bat, Clemente recalls his early years in Puerto Rico, when he was first discovered by baseball club owner Pedrín Zorilla.
Natalia Furtiano, an agent for the Society of Intelligence of the United States of America, Division of Puerto Rico, fights to protect the love of her life. Used to the life of covert operations and death all around her, submits her resignation which is denied on the spot. While she tries to get out of the Society of Intelligence in search for a peaceful life, she finds out what is like to have her superiors as enemies. She also realizes that she is a victim of her job and life style.
Mei-Lin, a young university student is having boyfriend troubles. One night while talking on the phone with him; she hears a knock on the door. Mei-Lin opens the door to find herself face to face to a 10 year old girl. Without saying much, the girl asks her for a glass of water. Mei-Lin goes to get the glass of water, comes to the door but finds that the girl is gone. The following night, the girl returns to her door, and asks for a glass of water. Mei-Lin decides to speak with the owner of the building and discovers a shocking truth.
