Es ist Frühling und damit auch der Beginn eines neuen Schuljahres in der Junior High School in Kamakura. Der achten Klasse schließt sich neu der Transferschüler Ryoichi Kyogoku an, der über eine sehr spezielle Telepathiefähigkeit verfügt und von seinem Vater beauftragt wurde, diese zu nutzen, um die Gedanken der anderen Leute zu lesen und schließlich die Schule zu übernehmen. Aufgrund seines guten Aussehens und seines Charismas wird Ryoichi sofort populär und beginnt sein Ziel zu verfolgen. Immer mehr Leute verfallen ihm und werden von ihm manipuliert und wer sich ihm in den Weg stellt, wird schnell ins Abseits gedrängt.
