Es ist Frühling und damit auch der Beginn eines neuen Schuljahres in der Junior High School in Kamakura. Der achten Klasse schließt sich neu der Transferschüler Ryoichi Kyogoku an, der über eine sehr spezielle Telepathiefähigkeit verfügt und von seinem Vater beauftragt wurde, diese zu nutzen, um die Gedanken der anderen Leute zu lesen und schließlich die Schule zu übernehmen.
