A spaceship containing specimens for an intergalactic zoo crashes on Earth near a small backwoods town. The specimens escape, and soon town folk start turning up mutilated.
Six young women, including Katsuki Takahashi, hold a high school reunion, but their high school has been shut down. The women are happy to see each other again. Suddenly, a shot rings out and one person dies. They receive a text message from Natumi Shirakawa who died 7 years ago. The text message asks "who is the criminal?" To figure out the identity of the perpetrator they look back at what happened 7 years ago.
Chuya, who spends his days in a local city without any purpose or dream, suddenly decides to go to Tokyo. His best friends: J, Gizmo, and Machida, from high school try to hold a big farewell party on the last day that Chuya spends locally, but Chuya remembers the past. It seems that he is clinging and hesitating to move. There, the three make a proposal for Chuya, but Yumiko, a longing senior who should be active as an entertainer in Tokyo, appears, and Chuya's heart shakes even more.
Tetsuo Togami is in the 2nd grade of high school. Due to a fight, he is hospitalized. There, he meets Maiko Takashiro. She has an incurable disease. She also has a hearing disability and is unable to talk. At first, Tetsuo becomes embarrassed but begins exchanging text messages with Maiko. Through the text messages, he begins having feelings for her. Even after his discharge from the hospital, he goes to visit Maiko every day. They promise to go out together on Maiko's birthday, but her condition worsens.
